GUAGUA, Pampanga – The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and the Provincial Government of Pampanga inaugurated the new Pampanga Provincial Dialysis Center I on Friday, April 11, marking a significant advancement in healthcare accessibility for the province.
PAGCOR’s PHP90 million donation funded 40 dialysis machines and a CT scan unit for the facility, which will serve thousands of patients who previously faced long travel distances and high expenses for treatment.

During the inauguration, PAGCOR Chairman Alejandro H. Tengco highlighted that the center represents both a medical necessity and a demonstration of government compassion. “We know how expensive and exhausting dialysis treatment can be – not just financially but physically, mentally and emotionally, which makes having this facility in the province crucial,” he said.

Tengco praised the medical staff who will operate the facility as “true heroes” for their dedication and emphasized that the project aligns with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s vision for improved healthcare services in underserved areas.
“This is what nation-building looks like—projects that directly touch lives and strengthen communities,” he added.
Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda expressed gratitude to PAGCOR and other partners, pledging that underprivileged Kapampangans would receive treatment at no cost.
“We will ensure that all poor Kapampangans who seek treatment here won’t spend a single centavo,” Pineda stated. “We are deeply grateful to all government agencies who partnered with us to make this possible.”

Developed under a public-private partnership, the Pampanga Provincial Dialysis Center I is a stand-alone clinic offering comprehensive care beyond dialysis services, including nutritional counseling, social work support, and patient education to address the broader needs of patients and their families.
