NutriAsia, the Philippines’ largest manufacturer of condiments and sauces that have become staples in every Filipino home, organized a special hiring activity exclusively for students and alumni of Dualtech in Calamba, Laguna, on June 11, 2024.
“We are very pleased with the partnership between NutriAsia and Dualtech. Since 2022, our Cabuyao Plant has accommodated on-the-job trainees from the school, and some have transitioned to become regular members of our workforce. This time around, we aim to recruit even more trainees and deploy them to our other facilities. We hope to see more graduates of Dualtech join our team,” explained Noe Reynes, HR operations manager for Luzon.
Dualtech Training Center Foundation, Inc., established in 1982, is a technical training institution that began as a social development project aimed at alleviating poverty by providing vocational training to young men.
The school specializes in training high school graduates in electromechanics and prepares them for employment with partner companies. Currently, Dualtech collaborates with over 100 manufacturing and service firms and 300 high schools nationwide.
Dualtech pioneered the Dual Training System (DTS), a German model for technical education that spans 24 months, with the initial six months spent at school and the subsequent 18 months as in-plant trainees with partner companies.
“Through partnerships with companies like NutriAsia, we offer students the opportunity to reinforce their classroom learning with hands-on experience. Many of our alumni secure full-time positions with our partner companies,” said Leonard Calma, Dualtech partnerships and programs manager.
