The National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) opened on Monday its new office at the ground level of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Building along Kalayaan Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City.
DHSUD Secretary Eduardo Del Rosario, who also chairs the NHMFC Board of Directors, led the ribbon-cutting and blessing of the new office, which also coincided with DHSUD’s 3rd anniversary on February 14, 2022.
NHMFC President Carlo Luis P. Rabat said that the celebration of DHSUD’s 3rd anniversary also marks a milestone for NHMFC as this is also the day that the corporation inaugurates and opens its first One-Stop Shop in Quezon City.
Housing loan borrower’s transactions such as loan status, application for loan restructuring, and payment or settlement of monthly amortizations, will be accommodated in this branch. Appointments booked online thru NHMFC’s official Messenger account, email address or thru telephone calls will also be accepted here.
For borrowers who wish to view the status of their accounts online, the “My NHMFC Online Access” (My NOA) kiosk is conveniently installed in the office entrance.
BPI donation

For the first leg, 26 desktops and two laptops were turned over to Poblacion Elementary School, which has 144 faculty members and more than 5,000 students, with most of them from relocated families.
The remaining computer units will be distributed to Itaas Elementary School, Muntinlupa National High School, and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa in the coming weeks.
Gender equality pushed
Pushing to fund more women and achieving gender equality will actually lead to more economic gains for businesses, companies, and even countries, according to Ignite Impact Fund founder Maoi Arroyo.
Speaking in the online event “Striking Stereotypes: the Rise of Women Leadership” presented by the American Chamber of Commerce, Arroyo stressed the need to achieve gender equality in the workplace not just in the Philippines, but all around the world.
Arroyo and her partners founded Ignite, which seeks to combine profit with a purpose by making investors money while also contributing positively to the world. Ignite invests in impactful startups with the help of over 30 years of mentoring and managing local enterprises, eventually aiming to lift Filipinos up from extreme poverty.
Companies that Ignite has already invested in include Quicksilver Satcom Ventures, Plentina and BioPrime.
GIGIL brings home awards
GIGIL Philippines bagged one silver trophy at the 2021 Marketing Excellence Awards (MEA) for their effort for Allianz PNB Life. The agency also received three golds for their tactical promo campaign for Seasons Juices and Fruits Philippines.
Seasons made waves with “Cash Prizes Araw-Araw Base sa Sikat ng Araw and Plantation Pachinko,” topping three categories: Excellence in Communication/Public Relations, Excellence in Event Marketing, and Excellence in Gamification. They also managed to get nominated for the category Excellence in Response to COVID-19.
Allianz PNB Life’s “Project Sustainable Future” snatched a silver for Excellence in Brand Awareness/Strategy.

Globe, AWS tie up
Globe Telecom Inc., through its cloud firm Cascadeo, has entered into a strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to deliver cloud-based solutions and expertise for its enterprise clients.
Achieving more AWS certifications will further strengthen Globe and Cascadeo’s team of cloud consultants, engineers, architects and developers, who can help enterprises solve complex business challenges.
Globe can also accelerate its transformation into a leading converged information and communications technology solutions provider of connectivity, cybersecurity and the Cloud, increasing customer adoption of AWS in the Philippines and the United States.
AWS will invest in an existing pool of trained and certified professionals from Globe and Cascadeo, whose customers will benefit from accelerated business transformation and modernized IT services.
The collaboration will enable Globe and Cascadeo to assist customers in building a comprehensive path to the Cloud which entails trained cloud support teams helping customers to define their business strategies, build their cloud migration roadmaps, optimize their move to the Cloud and implement a modernized approach for ongoing operational excellence.
DHL, CDA support to coops
DHL Express signed a partnership with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) to support and extend accounts-promotional offers and discounts to international orders made via CoopBiz, CDA’s e-Commerce marketplace for cooperatives.
CoopBiz is designed to showcase cooperatives’ unique and quality products in the local and international marketplace.
At least 30 cooperatives with unique and quality products have signified their readiness and anticipation to be part of the initial implementation of this global marketplace for cooperatives in the Philippines.
Qualified cooperatives that register on CoopBiz will be able to use DHL Express services to ship their goods and products. They will have access to exclusive promo codes and discounts on shipment bookings made via the platform.
TeamAsia bags awards
TeamAsia took home Gold and Bronze Awards in the recently concluded 2021 Marketing Excellence Awards, a Singapore-based award giving body.
In a virtual awarding ceremony held last January 28, TeamAsia’s campaign, We’ll Take Care of You for MAPFRE Insurance (Philippines), won the Gold award in the Excellence in Launch/Relaunch category. The agency strategically reintroduced MAPFRE to the market; reestablished the importance of non-life insurance amid the pandemic; and reinforced MAPFRE’s commitment of protecting its clients from further financial loss.

The IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) has appointed Celeste Ilagan as its chief policy and regulatory affairs officer.
Before taking on the role, Ilagan was a member of IBPAP’s board of trustees and legislative committee.
