According to HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng, the company has been a key player in the evolution of foldable phones. “Since the rise of foldables in 2019, it has undergone several waves of innovation, evolving from thick, crease-prone designs to sleeker, more practical form factors,” he stated. “The HONOR Magic V5 exemplifies this progress, setting a new industry benchmark as the world’s thinnest foldable and redefining what slim truly means in the foldable category.”
To achieve this slim profile without sacrificing strength, the Magic V5 features an improved Super Steel Hinge. This hinge is lighter and enables a tighter fold, while its tensile strength of 2300 MPa ensures exceptional durability. This innovative design allows the phone to be both thin and robust, proving that true slimness requires more than just shrinking components.
