MR.D.I.Y., a leading home improvement retailer in the Philippines, has become the first retail company to join the Retail Aggregation Program (RAP) and switch to 100% renewable energy through ACEN RES.
Under the agreement, ACEN RES will supply renewable power to 28 MR.D.I.Y. stores and facilities across Metro Manila and neighboring provinces, sourced from solar, wind, and geothermal plants. This follows MR.D.I.Y.’s transition to its first fully renewable-powered facility in Dasmariñas last October.
The Retail Aggregation Program allows multiple electricity consumers to combine their power demand and negotiate directly with licensed suppliers. In recognition of this commitment, ACEN RES awarded MR.D.I.Y. with its “Powered by Renewable Energy” badge.

ERC Chair Monalisa Dimalanta: “The ERC is pleased to see MR.D.I.Y. taking full advantage of the Retail Aggregation Program. This initiative demonstrates the program’s potential to empower businesses by giving them the freedom to choose their electricity supplier and tailor their energy needs. We encourage more companies to explore this avenue and support the country’s competitive electricity market.”
ACEN COO for Philippine Operations Miguel de Jesus: “We are proud to partner with MR.D.I.Y. in their journey towards sustainability. This partnership demonstrates the viability and benefits of renewable energy for retail businesses. By providing 100% renewable energy, we are helping MR.DIY reduce its carbon footprint and achieve its sustainability goals.”

MR.DIY Philippines CEO Roselle Marisol Andaya: “At MR.D.I.Y., we believe that sustainability is not just an option–it’s a responsibility. Our commitment to 100% renewable energy through ACEN RES is a bold step toward a greener future, ensuring that every store we power contributes to a cleaner, more sustainable Philippines.”
MR.D.I.Y. Philippines Head of Legal, Compliance, and Sustainability Atty. Suzie Cu: “We are honored to be the first retail company to participate in the RAP and receive the ‘Powered by Renewable Energy’ badge, and we hope to inspire others in the industry to follow suit.”
