A wood swallow enjoys the view from one of the recycled distance markers at Mimosa Plus Golf Course.
The markers, made from 70 percent recycled plastic and 30 percent natural elements, were crafted from onsite plastic waste with local environmental solutions company Green Antz.
Strategically placed at 200, 150, 100, and 50 yards, the markers guide golfers and highlight the facility’s commitment to sustainability.
Mimosa Plus Golf Course is working toward securing Golf Environment Organization certification, a global sustainability program that helps golf courses demonstrate their commitment to sustainability and provides a framework for continuous improvement in environmental, social, and economic performance.
