Meralco PowerGen Corporation (MGEN) has signed two Power Supply Agreements (PSAs) with EvoEnergi Inc., a newly licensed Retail Electricity Supplier (RES), to deliver conventional and renewable energy to contestable customers.
The PSAs were executed through MGEN’s thermal and renewable arms – MThermal and MGreen – providing EvoEnergi with a diverse energy mix for competitive client offerings. Under the agreements, MGEN will supply energy sufficient to serve 62,000 households from both renewable and thermal sources.
“This partnership with EvoEnergi reflects the strength of MGEN’s diversified energy portfolio. By combining conventional and renewable sources, we are helping meet the evolving needs of the retail electricity market while supporting the country’s transition to a cleaner and more secure energy future,” said MGEN President and CEO Emmanuel V. Rubio.
EvoEnergi, an affiliate of publicly listed D&L Industries, Inc., entered the energy market leveraging strong industrial heritage and forward-looking sustainability approach. The company is among the first RES providers in the Philippines to successfully implement the Retail Aggregation Program (RAP), enabling multiple customers to consolidate demand and access competitive electricity supply.
The agreement expands MGEN’s renewable arm reach beyond government programs like the Green Energy Option and Auction Programs, while supporting EvoEnergi’s supply portfolio enhancement and Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) compliance.
“With our expanding customer base, this partnership provides access to a more diversified and sustainable energy supply. It solidifies our shared commitment to sustainability and forging a better future for the Philippines,” said D&L Industries President and CEO Alvin Lao.

As MGEN expands its diversified energy portfolio, it remains committed to enabling emerging RES provider growth and shaping an energy future where all Filipinos access reliable, affordable, and sustainable power.
