The Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) recently conducted relocation work along C5 Southlink, C5 Road Extension, Merville, Parañaque City. This project involves the replacement of five (5) concrete poles, relocation of six (6) spans of covered overhead primary lines, and relocation of two (2) 75-kVA distribution transformers, in support of the on-going construction of the C5 Southlink Expressway.
The C5 Southlink Expressway is a 7.708-kilometer controlled-access toll expressway in Metro Manila which connects the Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX) to C5 Road in Taguig City. This is a joint project of the Philippine Reclamation Authority, Toll Regulatory Board, and the Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation, a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation.
To date, around 2,300 poles have already been relocated by Meralco to support the government’s priority infrastructure projects.
Meralco and its subsidiaries are continuously working with the government to guarantee the timely relocation of affected electric facilities and support the speedy completion of projects under the Build Better More program.
