GSIS inaugurates new QC branch office

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) inaugurated  on Wednesday the newly constructed office building of its Quezon City  branch in Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City.

“The new GSIS Quezon City Branch Office  forms part of our goal to provide  the ultimate customer experience to our members and pensioners,”  GSIS president and general manager Wick Veloso said.

The new building is compliant with the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) and Gender and Development (GAD) requirements. It has sufficient rooms and facilities,  a spacious lobby, and a vast  parking space to accommodate visiting clients.

“Plano din natin i-accommodate dito ang ibang government offices. Pwede silang umupa sa amin. Sana ay makapaglagay din tayo ng transportation hub, retail o commercial area para makatulong sa iba.” Veloso added.

Among the GSIS branch offices nationwide, its Quezon City branch serves the most number of clients, catering to 311,923  members, 29,054 pensioners, 194 remitting agencies, and 297 sub-agencies. Up to 500 clients visit the office daily.

The new office of the GSIS Quezon City  branch is strategically located near government offices such as the Quezon City Hall, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development,  PTV 4, and Philippine Information Agency, among other agencies.

Dentsu appointed as foodpanda’s media partner in Asia Pacific

Dentsu International has been appointed by foodpanda, an online food and grocery delivery platform and lead brand for Berlin-based’s Delivery Hero in Asia, as its media partner for its Asia Pacific markets, which will include Hong Kong, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand — in addition to its existing remit in Taiwan, where Dentsu has been their media partner since 2020.

Dentsu will work closely with foodpanda in the region to support its media transformation journey and bring closer collaboration across the markets.

Sun Life’s new health campaign aims to inspire Filipinos

Good health is key to living life according to your own terms, whether you’re pursuing your dreams, caring for your family, or enjoying your wealth. This is the message that Sun Life Philippines wishes to send in its latest campaign, as it strives to inspire more Filipinos to pursue a healthy lifestyle while also availing the benefits of a health insurance.

A video called Wheel of Life depicts a game show where players get a preview of the financial impact caused by various illnesses, and how having health insurance can help mitigate this. The video stars Sun Life brand ambassador Piolo Pascual playing the role of a game show host.

To further raise awareness, especially among the younger generation, Sun Life has also introduced rising star Donny Pangilinan as its new Sun Life health ambassador.

Sun Life is bringing back Sun Life Cycle PH and holding the Wheel of Life Pop-up Fair on April 23 at the Vermosa Sports Hub in Imus, Cavite. The event is open to all ages, fitness, and skill levels. The Kids’ Bike Camp will also be held on April 16 at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.

The Wheels of Life Pop-up Fair 2023, which will make stops in various locations, will feature health activities including free consultations, health risk assessments, nutrition counseling, and mental health check-in courtesy of the Philippine Mental Health Association, Dr. Anywhere and Institute for Studies on Diabetes Foundation Inc. Other locations and dates include: March 18 at Eton Centris, Quezon City; April 1 at Greenfield District, Mandaluyong; April 15 at Festival Mall, Alabang; April 16 at Quirino Grandstand, Manila; April 23 at Vermosa Sports Hub, Cavite; and April 29 at D’Mall, Boracay.

Sun Life also has a treat for those who will be at the island paradise of Boracay on April 9 and 29, as it will offer free massage and henna tattoo, a Partner for Life photo session, and an afternoon tea break. There will be activities promoting protection of the environment.

Cyberzone Game Fest 2023 supports grassroots gaming community

Ignacio speaks at the 25th Powertrends International Business Forum

ePLDT affirms its commitment to help advance the country’s digitalization drive with the rise of its largest hyperscale data center yet, VITRO Sta. Rosa.

The facility will go live by early next year with an initial power capacity of 14 megawatts (MW), and will further increase to 50MW once fully operational.

“With these data center energy forecasts and insights put to light, we look forward to continue working with our government and multi-sectoral partners to ensure sufficient energy supply to power the digital future of all Filipinos,” said ePLDT chief data center officer Gary Ignacio at the 25th Powertrends International Business Forum on February 9.

Ignacio highlighted that the Philippines’ data center energy requirements are expected to exceed those of other sectors due to the rapid growth of digitalization and digital transformation.

InLife receives Alida Delta Award
