LG Electronics (LG) is consistently recognized for its eco-friendly practices, with its 2024 OLED evo TVs earning certifications for reducing CO2 emissions and using recycled content. These certifications reflect LG’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, marking the fourth consecutive year of acknowledgment for its environmental initiatives.

Certifications from the Carbon Trust and SGS validate LG’s efforts to minimize environmental impact throughout the lifecycle of its products. These organizations assess factors like carbon emissions, resource efficiency, and the use of recycled materials, promoting responsible consumption practices across industries.

LG’s OLED TVs stand out for their self-lit design, which reduces the need for components like backlights, leading to simpler structures and less plastic usage compared to LCD TVs. This results in significant reductions in plastic consumption and carbon emissions, contributing to environmental preservation.

In addition to environmental efforts, LG’s ESG initiatives have earned accolades from various organizations, including its inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index for twelve consecutive years and top ratings from the Korea ESG Standards Institute and Morgan Stanley Capital International.

Baik Seon-pill, leader of LG’s Home Entertainment Company’s Product Planning Division, reaffirmed LG’s dedication to setting high ESG standards while delivering premium viewing experiences, emphasizing the company’s ongoing commitment to creating a better planet for all.
