KonsultaMD, Etiqa Philippines partner up to make digital health more accessible to Filipinos
KonsultaMD and Etiqa Philippines have embarked on a partnership to enhance digital health access for Filipinos. This initiative enables Etiqa members and their dependents to avail themselves of free consultations from KonsultaMD.
The alliance was formally unveiled at a recent contract signing event attended by key executives from both companies, led by Cholo Tagaysay, CEO of KonsultaMD, and Rico Bautista, President and CEO of Etiqa.
With this collaboration, KonsultaMD has become a key health partner in Etiqa’s extensive network of over 1,500 hospitals and clinics across the country. Augmented by KonsultaMD’s large network of over 1,000 healthcare professionals on their platform, Etiqa members can now access a broad array of doctors and specialists through the app.
The synergy of these two ecosystems seeks to foster a more comprehensive approach to healthcare and provide a more affordable, accessible, and robust health solution for Filipinos.
Etiqa members can avail themselves of free online doctor consultations from KonsultaMD through a simple three-step process. First, they must call the KonsultaMD Hotline at 02-7798-8000 (press 0) or email wellness@konsulta.md, and provide the Wellness Representative their policy number and mobile number, a one-time requirement for initial consultation. Members should download the KonsultaMD app and register using the same mobile number given to the hotline. The Etiqa health plan will be activated within the app in about thirty minutes upon successful registration.

ABS-CBN hosts UTA
ABS-CBN Global recently hosted visiting representatives of the United Talent Agency (UTA).
The company entered into a consultancy partnership with UTA last February to take ABS-CBN’s internationalization efforts to the next level.
UTA is a global talent agency that represents many of the world’s most iconic, barrier-breaking artists, creators and changemakers– from actors, athletes and musicians to writers, to gamers and digital influencers. Recently, its clients received more than 200 EMMY nominations for this year.
UTA represented by head of Asia Business Development Max Michael and music agent Janet Kim visited ABS-CBN offices in Manila this month to meet with the media company’s top executives, attend contract signings with artists, do a studio tour, meet with the business unit heads of music, films, talent and content, and have face-to-face meetings with Filipina actress-singer-host-model Maymay and P-Pop groups BINI and BGYO.
While ABS-CBN Global’s content, talent, film, music and live events are already present in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, North Africa, and North and Latin America, the company wants to reach out to a mainstream audience that has become much more open to diverse and ethnic entertainment offerings.
One example for ABS-CBN Global is its recently held 1MX music festival in London which headlined top Filipino music acts with other Asian artists and emerging non-Asian artists. The event drew thousands of attendees. Buoyed by the reception in London, ABS-CBN Global is bringing 1MX to Toronto in September and Sydney in October.
“ABS-CBN Global wants to reach larger audiences across the full breadth of practice areas in the entertainment industry. With UTA’s expertise and network, we hope to explore opportunities for our business verticals and have our offerings on the forefront of the media and entertainment industry where they can generate full impact on reach and engagement,” said ABS-CBN Global COO Aldrin Cerrado.
