Hedcor, a renewable energy subsidiary of Aboitiz Power Corporation, has contributed to the development of the Cordilleras by releasing over P10.49 million in community shares.
Benguet received P8.05 million, while Mountain Province was allocated P2.44 million. These funds will be used for infrastructure improvements, including the installation of solar street lights, and other development projects.
The community shares were derived from the 2023 total energy sales of La Trinidad Hydro, Irisan 1 & 2 Hydros, Bineng 3 Hydro, Ampohaw Hydro, Sal-angan Hydro, and Sabangan Hydro.
