Founded in Thailand in 2017 by chief executive officer Komsan Lee, Flash Group earned the title of ‘Thailand’s First Unicorn’ within three years, reaching a valuation of USD 1 billion.
In 2021, Flash Express entered the Philippine market, rapidly expanding to cover 95 percent of serviceable areas nationwide within a year, transforming the e-commerce logistics landscape with its superior delivery services.
Leveraging its success in Thailand, Flash Group strategically expanded its presence in the Philippines by establishing hubs and distribution centers, introducing additional logistics services that received significant acclaim.
Flash Express operates a self-operated delivery network, offering cost-effective solutions and B2B to C2C services. Flash Home provides business opportunities to Filipinos through partnerships, offering low-cost services and augmented profit margins. Flash Fulfillment addresses diverse logistical needs with state-of-the-art warehouse facilities, managing logistics, order, and inventory. FlashPay facilitates digital and automated financial transactions for merchants.
During the press conference, the Flash Express Country People Head highlighted the company’s role in serving major e-commerce platforms and its clientele base of 4,819 customers, projecting a 50% increase within the fiscal year.
Flash Group aims to maintain its 95 percent serviceable coverage by expanding its infrastructure, with a goal of delivering 300 million parcels this fiscal year.
As of January, the company has 28 sorting hubs, 736 distribution centers, 27 pick-up distribution centers, and 2,025 Flash Home branches nationwide, supported by 22,000 professionals, with plans for a 30% workforce expansion.
Flash Express PR and Partnerships manager, Reginald Rex Pumihic, noted the company’s substantial expansion in the Philippines since its inception in 2021, achieving a 95% serviceable coverage nationwide and revolutionizing e-commerce logistics for Filipino consumers.
