Flash Express upgrades logistics facilities this holiday season

FLASH Express, the rapidly expanding logistics and courier service company in the Philippines, has unveiled its state-of-the-art 20,000 sqm hub in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, signaling its commitment to enhancing efficiency and accommodating the surge in customer demand during the forthcoming holiday season. This significant upgrade was officially inaugurated on October 20, 2023.

The highlight of the inauguration was the introduction of cutting-edge automatic sorting machines capable of processing an impressive 600,000 parcels daily. This remarkable enhancement of their hubs and distribution centers signifies a substantial leap in business volume, service quality, and overall logistics management and efficiency.

The Flash Express PN5 automated hub boasts a matrix of 20 unloading lines, including 12 sets of DWS and automatic balance wheel sorting machines, as well as 8 manual sorting lines with an hourly parcel processing capacity of 120,000. In the bagging area, a double-layer automatic sorting machine, featuring 420 sorting grids, handles 40,000 parcels per hour. Meanwhile, the sorting area comprises 20 line hauls and 180 DC, further optimizing the logistics process.

Flash Express general manager Vincent Peng highlighted the company’s remarkable evolution over the past two years in adapting to the Philippine e-commerce logistics landscape and competitive market. He stressed their commitment to market development and customer needs, with substantial investments in infrastructure, technology, personnel, and vehicles. This has significantly improved operational quality and efficiency while enhancing their overall capacity.

Peng emphasized that this upgrade underscores their confidence in the market, their dedication to fostering business partnerships, and their unwavering commitment to adapting to market demands while continuously enhancing their operations. In addition to these improvements, Flash Express has partnered with Palawan Express Pera Padala and AllBank to offer convenient payment solutions and remittance options through Flash Pay, their Electronic Money Issuer (EMI) and Electronic Payment Financial Services (EPFS).

As part of their preparation for the holiday season, Flash Express has bolstered its transportation fleet and logistics vehicles. With a workforce exceeding 12,000 riders and couriers, totaling over 18,000 employees by October 2023, the company is well-prepared to meet the holiday rush and serve its customers with efficiency and reliability.
