As a step toward upgrading credit underwriting in the country, FinScore is set to launch its Credit Risk Academy on May 29, 2024.
Supported by CIBI Information Inc. (CIBI) and co-presented by the Credit Information Corporation (CIC), together with the country’s largest fintech organization, Fintech Alliance PH, the academy being put together by FinScore is the first of its kind in the Philippines.
FinScore chief operating officer and country manager Christo Georgiev explained, “The Credit Risk Academy focuses on providing professionals in the banking and financial sectors with the comprehensive knowledge and tools required to excel in modern credit risk management. The curriculum is designed to explore the integration of innovative alternative data sources with traditional scoring methods. It aims to improve the precision and reliability of credit assessments, offering participants a deep dive into cutting-edge risk identification techniques and underwriting models.”
With this focus, the course equips attendees with a robust understanding of credit scoring fundamentals while simultaneously guiding them through the complexities of alternative data-driven models.
CIC president and chief executive officer Atty. Ben Joshua Baltazar added, “This blend of conventional and progressive data-driven approaches ensures that participants gain the expertise necessary to make informed credit decisions, ultimately leading to more effective and inclusive financial practices for broad-based growth. This training enables them to keep up with the evolving landscape of credit risk management, be oriented on the current industry standards globally, and in turn, prepare them for future challenges.”
Registration for the course is free with limited slots. Signing up will not only enable participants to further their professional development, but they will also receive 1,000 free Telco Credit Pulls for their respective companies.
