Ever Mall ‘I Love My Jab’ supports QC drive to herd immunity
Ever Mall is supporting Quezon City’s drive to herd immunity with ‘I Love My Jab’ vaccination campaign making 100 percent of its employees and majority of its merchants vaccinated.
Aside from providing the venue, Ever Mall also aims to inform everyone of the need to have their jabs at the soonest time possible.
A jab is not only a personal responsibility to keep your families safe but will also help businesses safely open with fully vaccinated personnel, such as Ever Mall as it is highlighting its #EVERSafeShopping.
Since June, the Operations and Marketing Departments of Ever Mall have been closely coordinating with QC Protektodo.
More vaccination events are planned to help expedite the administration of COVID-19 vaccines to help curb the spread of the virus and achieve herd immunity.
The #EVERSafeShopping at Ever Mall is assured by the QC Government-issued “Safety Seal” certificate.

Shell’s first COVID vaccination program for staff and dependents
Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. (PSPC), in partnership with the City of Mandaluyong and Reliance United, recently launched its vaccination program for its staff and their dependents.

Honda donates PPEs, food packs
Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI), Honda’s automobile business unit in the Philippines, recently conducted its donation drive to hospitals around Laguna.
This is part of the company’s continuing support to medical frontliners in their battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Honda donated personal protective equipment (PPE) and food packs to three hospitals, namely The Medical City South Luzon and New Sinai MDI Hospital in Santa Rosa, Laguna; and Global Care Medical Center in Canlubang, Laguna. Along with that, Honda, during ECQ, also temporarily provided vehicles to these hospitals, along with four other hospitals namely: Unihealth-Southwoods Hospital and Medical Center and Perpetual Help Medical Center in Biñan, Laguna; Global Care Medical Center in Cabuyao, Laguna; and Carmona Hospital and Medical Center in Carmona, Cavite.
The proceeds of the recently sold Honda Team Mugen SF13 race car allowed HCPI to continue their support for the nation’s frontliners. To recap, the Team Mugen SF13 was brought to Philippines in 2014 following its championship winning year. The title-winning Super Formula race car was showcased in select dealerships and events, including the 2014 Philippine International Motor Show.

Coca-Cola’s happiness on demand
Coca-Cola’s Happiness on Demand (HOD) delivery service is now available in Cebu, following a recent expansion. Cebuanos in Cebu City, Mandaue, Talisay, Lapu-lapu, Consolacion, and Liloan can now order their favorite Coca-Cola products via call or through SMS and have refreshment delivered straight to their doorsteps.
This expansion aligns with Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines Inc.’s commitment to remain attuned to changing consumer demands and needs, and continuously roll out responsive and quality services.
With the shift of consumption patterns due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Coca-Cola strengthened its digital and home service business models to better serve and reach its customers–thus making Coca-Cola products even more accessible to more consumers.
The service coverage expansion in Cebu was launched through a partnership with MB Distributor Ltd. Co., and Dimaano shares that there are plans to further increase HOD’s logistics capacity and add drop-off points of delivery.

P&G PH closes gender gap in workplace
Procter & Gamble (P&G) Philippines achieves equal representation and gender balance across its workforce and even in senior leadership positions.
Across its total workforce, their gender ratio is 53 percent female and 47 percent male. In senior management, it is 54 percent female and 46 percent male.
“In P&G, we work to provide equal access and opportunity for all to succeed, to provide a safe and inclusive environment so everyone can be their authentic selves, and to enable all employees to perform at their peak,” said Raffy Fajardo, P&G Philippines general manager.
The company’s efforts include equitable, inclusive practices and industry-leading policies. They design for equitable practices in traditionally male-skewed units to provide equal opportunities.
The company was also lauded for launching “Share the Care,” their industry-leading paid parental leave program.

McDonald’s launches Ride-Thru Dual Lanes
McDonald’s Philippines has launched its first Ride-Thru Dual Lane in the country.
Opened on August 30, McDonald’s Anabu in Cavite is the first to launch the Dual Lane feature. The next Ride-Thru Dual Lane in McDonald’s SLEX Mamplasan is opening soon.
The launch of McDo’s Ride-Thru Dual Lane is an addition to the existing NXTGEN upgrades made to elevate the customer experience. McDonald’s NXTGEN stores include innovations like self-ordering kiosks, cashless payments, split counters for ordering and claiming, Guest Experience Leaders, and more.
Alongside McDonald’s investment in creating a faster ordering experience for customers, more branches have also rolled out Bike & Dine areas that make dining out at McDonald’s all the more easy and convenient for all types of rides. McDonald’s has set up bike racks with dining ledges that let cyclists enjoy their meal near their bikes outdoors, while making sure their bikes are upright, safe, and secure.

Meralco’s maiden Sustainability Report impress award-giving bodies
The Manila Electric Co.’s (Meralco) maiden Sustainability Report (SR) continues to extend its win streak at local and international award-giving bodies this year.
Published in 2020, Meralco’s 2019 Sustainability Report Sustaining the Future presents and articulates the electric distribution utility’s sustainability agenda, rooted in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).
Sustaining the Future details Meralco’s holistic view on sustainability as the company addresses power, planet, people, and prosperity imperatives — four focus areas through which Meralco delivers positive impact and ‘powers the good life.’
In its most recent win, Sustaining the Future received a Gold Stevie in the Innovation in Annual Reports category from the Asia Pacific Stevie Awards last July 2021, making the maiden SR the only Filipino Sustainability Report to win this year, besting entries across Asia.
In March 2021, the Sustainability Report also won an Excellence Award at the 18th Philippine Quill Awards — the highest recognition tier from one of the country’s most prestigious awards programs in the field of business communications.

PCPPI to reach vaccination target by Q4
Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines Inc. (PCPPI)–recently declared that it is nearing its employee inoculation target of at least 90 percent.To date, the company has already inoculated 65 percent of its regular employees.
The company’s vaccination drive, dubbed “Great to be Safe,” is currently being rolled out in its offices and plants in partnership with various local government units (LGUs). The company is prioritizing the inoculation of employees in municipalities with higher cases of COVID-19.
The vaccines administered came from partner LGUs, including Muntinlupa City, Cauayan City, Naga City, Bacolod City, Rosario City, Davao City and Sto. Tomas, Batangas. PCPPI employees, being part of the essential workforce, are classified under the A4 category or economic frontliners.
The company also started using the initial delivery of Aztra Zeneca vaccines from the “A Dose of Hope” vaccination program. These vaccines were likewise administered thru the support of some LGUs. The company still awaits the balance and full delivery of their order of 20,000 vaccines.

BillEase‘Buy Now Pay Later’ option
BillEase, a flexible and transparent alternative to credit cards and e-wallets, announced the expansion of its interest-free buy now, pay later (BNPL) service which now includes a short-term installment offering for customers in the Philippines.
The BNPL provider is aiming to help more online retailers drive conversion, revenue, and customer loyalty without taking on any risk amid the increase in market demand for zero-interest payment plans.
With the new offering, online retailers can now allow their customers to split payment for purchases between P1,000 and P25,000 or more with the first payment (25 percent) due at the time of transaction and the rest (75 percent in three bi-weekly installments.
The buy now, pay later service is completely card-free and does not require customers to sign up for a credit or a debit card.
BillEase is also offering longer payment plans which allow consumers to pay monthly for large purchases and stretch their funds to increase buying power.
