JEAN Henri Lhuillier and Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation Inc. (CLFI) are committed to improving the lives of Filipinos through impactful initiatives, particularly the Alternative Learning Program (ALS) done in collaboration with the Department of Education (DepEd).
Recognizing the crucial role of education, CLFI strategically places ALS Community Learning Centers (ALS-CLCs) nationwide.
CLFI has set up 155 ALS-CLCs across 70 provinces, reaching 60,000 learners. The ALS boasts a commendable 63.36 percent passing rate, showing its effectiveness.
Success is due to the program’s thorough curriculum and the dedication of ALS educators, who receive full support from CLFI.
One such educator, Evie Madolid from Malabon, is grateful for CLFI’s assistance, which enhances teaching quality.
Madolid’s students express gratitude for the program, sharing stories of success like becoming police officers, co-teachers, or starting businesses.
He said, “I’m very thankful to Cebuana Lhuillier for extending their help to the program, where they provided laptops, projectors, and other supplies that we can use to enhance the quality of our teaching.”
Cebuana Lhuillier’s commitment extends to educators, who are vital in shaping success stories from the ALS program.
“Education has always been deeply personal advocacy for me. I believe that it holds the key to unlocking the full potential of individuals and communities alike. To achieve this, it is essential to prioritize the empowerment of educators. They are the backbone of our education system, guiding and inspiring the next generation of changemakers. At Cebuana Lhuillier, we work tirelessly to ensure that they are equipped to deliver the highest standards of education,” said Jean Henri Lhuillier, president and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier.
