DFA opens passport services at RWM

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has partnered with RWM to boost passport services with the Newport Mall Temporary Off-Site Passport Services (TOPS).
DFA’s satellite office is open at RWM’s Garden Wing 3F Newport Mall (across Regatta) Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Applicants who wish to avail of passport services at TOPS offices are required to book their appointments at the official Passport Online Appointment System at passport.gov.ph, strictly no walk-ins
will be accommodated.

Price adjustments
DHL Express is increasing prices effective Jan. 1, 2022 for an average of 4.9 percent.
Prices are adjusted on an annual basis by DHL Express, taking into consideration inflation and currency dynamics as well as administrative costs related to regulatory and security measures.
These measures are being regularly updated by national and international authorities in each of the more than 220 countries and territories that DHL Express serves.
Depending on local conditions, price adjustments will vary from country to country, and will apply to all customers where contracts allow.
Promoting herd immunity‘
Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation (CLFI) has partnered with GoNegosyo on a campaign to help curb the impact of COVID-19 and ensure the health and safety of both community members and private sector employees.
Through GoNegosyo’s private sectors alliance, CLFI was able to procure a total of 27,000 vaccines, which included donations to both the national government, as well as local communities across the country. This also included 9,000 vaccines for PJ Lhuillier Inc.’s own employees.
CLFI in 2020 initiated Tulong Sa Pagbangon campaign focusing on providing assistance to sectors severely affected by the pandemic, which included cash donations to partner organizations, relief packs donated in Metro Manila communities, and medical equipment and supplies donated to a number of public hospitals.
CLFI also partnered with both GMA Kapuso Foundation and ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation to make use of Cebuana Lhuillier branches nationwide as donation remittance centers for its COVID-19 and disaster-related assistance programs.

FedEx Express unveiled a series of new integrations with leading e-commerce technology platforms across the Asia-Pacific region which will substantially benefit e-tailers or e-commerce sellers.
The innovative Compatible and Alliances programs enable e-tailers to gain instant access to enhanced and affordable shipping solutions, allowing them to sell effortlessly on e-commerce platforms.
Under the FedEx Compatible program, FedEx customers can generate FedEx shipping labels and use additional FedEx features, such as Express Shipping Services and International Shipping Documentation Service, without leaving the e-commerce or marketplace platforms.
In addition, e-tailers on marketplaces will also benefit from exclusive discounts on FedEx rates under the Compatible program. To date, FedEx has integrated with 17 platforms, allowing hundreds of thousands of e-merchants across Asia Pacific direct access to FedEx services.
MakatiMed wins gold
Top hospital in the Philippines Makati Medical Center (MakatiMed) won the Gold Award in the Talent Development category from the Asian Hospital Management Awards (AHMA) 2021 for Rainbow Connection, a learning and motivation initiative led by the hospital’s Service Operations Division—Business Operations Support Services.
Rainbow Connection uplifts MakatiMed healthcare workers and employees by organizing virtual activities that empower them and strengthen their camaraderie as they continue to provide quality service in these challenging times. One such activity was a friendly online competition in singing, dancing, and acting, intended to give frontliners a platform to express themselves, showcase their talents, and destress while entertaining each other.
MakatiMed employees had regular opportunities to help maintain their mental and physical wellbeing by joining Rainbow Connection’s workout challenges and weekly yoga sessions. A Viber group was also set up to serve as the employees’ virtual lounge where they regularly exchange inspiring, funny, and positive posts to uplift each other. Apart from these, MakatiMed put up an online marketplace on Facebook to help employees get extra earnings and organized raffle draws for the benefit of the hospital staff.
MRSGI ramps up e-commerce program
Metro Retail Stores Group Inc. (MRSGI) is accelerating its e-commerce initiatives and developing its digital assets to build what it calls the METRO Digital Ecosystem.
The program leverages on the development of a combination of internal and external resources such as partnerships with leading e-commerce players, online store enhancements, loyalty program integration, among others. These initiatives are designed to provide its shoppers with a more seamless and convenient shopping experience.
MRSGI aims to ride on the continued rise in e-commerce among Filipinos, citing a Euromonitor report predicting that newly found convenience in online shopping will continue beyond 2022 even if things go back to pre-pandemic conditions.
For its supermarket chain, the Cebu-based retailer is looking to expand its reach by adding multi-service superapp GrabMart to the list of their on-demand goods delivery service partners. Metro Supermarket customers in select areas of Metro Manila and Cebu can purchase from an assortment of more than 3,500 goods and have these delivered at their doorsteps through their Grab app.
Clorox, San Juan LGU vaccination drive
Clorox Safer Today Program has teamed up with the local government of San Juan to provide safer and cleaner vaccination sites and swabbing centers.
The disinfectant brand donated P840,000 worth of Clorox disinfection and hygiene products to support San Juan City’s “Ako ay San Juaneño Bakunado at Protektado” vaccination program against Covid-19.
Beginning early August, Clorox Philippines, one of the country’s leading cleaning and disinfecting products providers, doubled its action in promoting the Safer Today Program by teaming with local government units.
The Clorox Safer Today Program aims to help the world create healthier public and shared spaces. The nationwide movement first joined hand-in-hand with the Office of the Vice President of the Philippines, wherein the company donated around 2,520 Clorox disinfecting wipes and cleaners to the OVP.
Let’s talk about gender
Teleperformance Philippines continues its advocacy of promoting inclusive workplaces through its recent participation in the University of the Philippines College of Mass Communication (UP CMC) Department of Communication Research and International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines’ webinar “Let’s Talk About Gender.”
Marilyn Romero-Ventenilla, senior director of Teleperformance Philippines, joined experts from the communication industry and academe and gave a talk on Genderlect, or different ways of communicating between men and women, as well as on Teleperformance Philippines’ commitment of being a Great Place to Work® for all, and tips on how to create and foster a gender-smart working environment.
In their 25 years in the country, Teleperformance Philippines has been a true advocate for diversity, equality, and inclusion policies across their workplace, creating a variety of initiatives championing the LGBTQ+ community and women.
Teleperformance has a program called TP Women that celebrates the achievements of women in Teleperformance, while also serving as a community and support system for women and allies within the organization. Among its recently held activities include webinars on parenting, financial literacy and management, along with podcasts and videos to highlight the achievements of women in the field of Technology.
