State-owned Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) proudly announces the appointment of Eddie Abel C. Dorotan to its Board of Directors. With over 20 years of extensive experience in investment banking, capital markets, and commercial banking, Dorotan brings a wealth of knowledge to the role.
Before his appointment to DBP’s highest governing body, Dorotan served as Senior Vice President and Head of the Investment Banking Group at Asia United Bank Corporation (AUB), where he distinguished himself as the youngest member of the management team. His expertise also includes leading the Institutional Banking segment at the Philippine Bank of Communications, overseeing bank-wide credit operations.
Dorotan’s journey in public service began with his remarkable achievement of topping DBP’s inaugural Management Associates Program (MAP) in 2005. This rigorous one-year training program is designed for aspiring bankers. Following his success, he joined DBP’s Investment Banking Department, where he excelled in marketing, structuring, and executing large-scale financing transactions.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Ateneo de Manila University, where he was recognized as a Dean’s Lister.
