COVID-19 vaccination site at SM City BF Parañaque

SM City BF Parañaque and the Parañaque City Government recently opened a vaccination site at the mall’s 5th level parking to provide residents with an accessible, safe, and convenient way to get vaccinated. It aims to serve up to 2,000 residents a day on April 12, 14, and 16. Photos show Parañaque Mayor Edwin L. Coca-Cola: partnerships enabling lasting change for women entrepreneurs

In full recognition of the critical role that women play in society , Coca-Cola in the Philippines has formed partnerships  to empower 100,000 women nationwide.

Coca-Cola, together with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), created the Sari-sari Store Training and Access to Resources (STAR) Program which provides business skills and gender sensitivity training, as well as access to key resources and mentoring from peers.

A partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) merged the STAR program modules and the Balik Pinay, Balik Hanapbuhay program to help repatriated women overseas Filipino workers.

In tandem with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Coca-Cola launched the ReSTART or Rebuilding Sari-Sari Stores Through Access to Resources and Trade, which is designed to stimulate the recovery of the micro-retail sector.

The partnership between Coca-Cola and local government units all over the country also helped spread the implementation of the  STAR program in their municipalities.

From the initial target of 100,000 women retailers, Coca-Cola Philippines, by end of 2020 has empowered 250,000 women entrepreneurs.

Coca-Cola Philippines has been helping micro-retailers recover and restart from the pandemic.

Eastern Communications offers free COVID-19 vaccination for all employees

Eastern Communications has announced its plans to offer free COVID-19 vaccination for all its employees.

The company has started procuring Moderna COVID-19 vaccines which will be delivered in batches from the second to the last quarter of 2021. While the COVID-19 vaccination is not mandatory, Eastern Communications will cover 100 percent of vaccination costs for its employees who will opt to be vaccinated.

Since the implementation of quarantine measures last year, the telco has enforced its COVID-19 Task Force to administer safety protocols and guidelines in line with government standards and also enacted a robust internal program supporting its employees during these tough times, including a line-up of health and wellness activities.
