Leading fiber broadband and technology provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. partnered with Pride PH to power Pride Festival 2024, the largest gathering of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies, held on June 22 at the Quezon City Memorial Circle.
As the official live streaming partner, Converge connected the vibrant on-ground events to a global online audience via various social media platforms. This initiative allowed a broader community of members, supporters, and allies to participate virtually.
“Converge’s vision is all about empowering people — our customers, our employees, and our business partners. We are delighted to celebrate Pride with the LGBTQIA+ community,” said chief sustainability officer Benjamin Azada. “Our commitment to inclusion and equity is reflected in our corporate practices and culture.”
Pride PH National Convener and Pride Night director Rod Singh expressed gratitude for partners like Converge: “How we fight is, we dream. Each dream is a fight against marginalization and discrimination. Love Laban 2 Everyone is a testament to the indomitable spirit of a community that dares to dream.”
The 2024 festival aimed to surpass last year’s record of over 150,000 attendees. With the addition of live streaming, the event reached an even larger audience, celebrating love, dreams, and pride.
Converge also participated with employee volunteers, a tent, and a photo booth during the event. Two LGBTQIA+ Converge employees delivered messages of solidarity with the wider community.
Pride March events are also being organized outside Metro Manila in celebration of International Pride Month.
