Century Pacific Group banded together with Gawad Kalinga (GK) on July 10 in serving 300,000 meals to children to promote the Nationwide Feeding Day.
This marked the launch of Century’s campaign to deliver 10 million protein servings to school children as part of its flagship feeding program, Kain Po. The group activated the program through GK communities nationwide.

ABAC Forum on skills, skills
Understanding the need for urgent action to ensure that talent and businesses alike are prepared to leverage on emerging technological trends as part of the services sector’s broader strategy for growth and recovery in the Asia-Pacific region, APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) REIWG Services Trade lead Sabin Aboitiz brought together global thought leaders and experts to exchange insights and best practices at the recent ABAC Public-Private Dialogue held last July 12.
Centered on the theme ‘Sharpening Your Edge: Skills & Services for the 21st Century,’ the program tackled the increasingly digital-enabled service deliveries and how they affect the future of the workplace as well as the capabilities of the workforce.
“It’s no surprise that the Services sector has always actually been the people-centric sector, which is why the sector contributes more to employment typically than it does even to GDP. Even in the analog economy, a services firm would spend up to 80% of its outgoings on human resources,” explained Forum Moderator Prof. Jane Drake-Brockman, founder and director of the Australian Services Roundtable, and co-convenor of the Asia Pacific Services Coalition.
International Yoga Day
SM Malls hosted the celebration of the 8th International Day of Yoga at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia. Vartika Agarwal (top photo) opened the program with Ganesh Stuti, a common ceremony in India that signifies the start of something positive and auspicious.
Indian Ambassador H.E Shambhu S. Kumaran and wife Mme. Amrita Singh Kumaran led health and fitness enthusiasts in a Common during the celebration.
