Cebu Pacific wraps Bayanihan flights
Cebu Pacific (CEB) safely brought home 11,423 Filipinos from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, India, Vietnam, Lebanon, and Bahrain through Bayanihan and other chartered flights that were mounted with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) since July 2021.
From Dubai alone, CEB brought home at the end of the year a total of 8,750 Filipinos via Bayanihan flights, in support of the government’s repatriation program.
The United Arab Emirates recently lifted capacity restrictions on the Dubai-Manila route, enabling CEB to resume its daily commercial flights beginning March 1, in time for the easing of Philippine arrival quarantine restrictions and reopening of borders for tourists.
Travel requirements for these flights are in accordance with the revised entry and quarantine protocols set by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases announced on Feb. 3, 2022.
Heroes Unmasked raises over P2M
After four months of running the Heroes Unmasked initiative, TOYM’s fund raising campaign has raised over P2 million for the benefit of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) and its Panatag na Kanlungan Project, which provides assistance for its medical frontliners and volunteers.
With the help of generous individual and corporate donations, Heroes Unmasked has been able to provide support in the form of food, medicine, disinfection and sanitation, and basic appliances for the medical volunteers who are tirelessly assisting PGH on the pandemic cases.
TOYM Heroes Unmasked was highlighted by an original song composition and music video created through the collaborative efforts of iconic musical artists Ryan Cayabyab, Lea Salonga, and Gary Valenciano, who have given their time and effort to work together on Heroes, the song inspired by and dedicated to the medical frontliners who put their lives on the line daily to heal, care for, and alleviate the sufferings of fellow Filipinos.
Support was provided by major corporate donors such as Universal Robina Inc., Golden ABC Inc., J. Amado Araneta Foundation, NVT Corp., CMG Retail Inc., Wilcon Depot Inc., Milky Way Group, Zambales Diversified Metal Corp., Berong Nickel Corp. and Metro Pacific Investments Corp.

SSS receives Silver Trailblazer Award
The Social Security System (SSS) received the Silver Trailblazer Award after passing the 1st stage of the Performance Governance System (PGS) during the virtual revalida on Nov. 23, 2021.
SSS president and chief executive officer Aurora Ignacio presented the basic elements of the Initiation stage: strategy design that SSS has adopted for its PGS transformation journey. The strategy design includes SSS position statement and the corresponding objectives, and impact indicators that will gear SSS towards the attainment of its vision.
