Cebu Pacific to resume Manila-Brunei connection
Cebu Pacific (CEB) announced the resumption of its Manila-Brunei flight, bringing its total restored international destinations to 18.
On July 23, CEB intends to restart its flights between Manila and Brunei, beginning with a twice weekly frequency every Thursday and Saturday.
Flight 5J 409 is scheduled to depart Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 at 7:10 p.m. and is set to arrive at Brunei International Airport by 9:40 p.m. Its return flight, 5J 410, is scheduled to leave Brunei at 10:30 p.m., and arrive in Manila at 12:50 a.m. the following day.
Fully vaccinated Filipinos flying to Brunei are only required to present their proof of complete vaccination, along with an e-heath arrival declaration form. A certificate of Travel Medical Insurance with COVID-19 coverage must be presented upon check-in.
Coming home, boosted Filipinos no longer need to take a COVID test pre-departure.
Tanduay president among Men Who Matter

Tan assumed the presidency at Tanduay in 2019.
The 29-year-old last May 4 was also appointed by the Lucio Tan (LT) Group board of directors as COO. He will later assume the position of both president and COO in 2023.
Tan is also the vice president of PAL Holdings, Inc., and a director at MacroAsia Corp.; Philippine National Bank; Philippine Airlines; Lufthansa Technik Philippines, Inc.; and MacroAsia Properties Development, among others.
Tanduay’s performance in the last two years under the young Tan remained strong. Tanduay also inked four partnerships with top teams in the National Basketball Association, the only Filipino company so far to do so.
Tanduay won its 4th consecutive World’s Number 1 Rum award from Drinks International Magazine for outselling brands from other countries.

Isuzu PH delivers 98 Traviz units
Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC), together with its dealer Isuzu Zamboanga, handed 98 units of brand-new Isuzu Traviz to the City Government of Zamboanga, contributing to the 10,000-unit sales milestone of the Isuzu Traviz lightweight truck.
The Isuzu Traviz units with rescue vehicle body type, equipped with strobe lights with built-in siren and PA system and 1-unit spine board, will be distributed to the different barangays in the city.
This is in line with the city government’s thrust on the Barangay Emergency Network Group program which aims to equip and capacitate the barangays to ensure immediate response during emergencies and calamities.

CEMEX appointment
CEMEX Holdings Philippines Inc. (CHP) confirmed the appointment of Luis Guillermo Franco Carrillo as new president and CEO effective on June 1, 2022.
Luis Franco, who served as Builders Segment vice president for CEMEX Mexico, will take on the position left by Ignacio Mijares who will now lead Corporate Strategic Planning at the CEMEX central office.
Franco brings more than 23 years of experience with CEMEX having joined the company in 1999. Prior to his assignment to the Philippines, he had previous appointments to key positions in CEMEX’s operations in the United Kingdom, Hungary and his home country, Mexico.
