Castrol webinar highlights value of lubrication solutions

Castrol Global Marine and North Trend Marketing Corp. hosted a webinar last August 18 with attendees from the marine sector, domestic shipping companies, chief engineers and technical engineers.

Titled“Build Your Bounce: Extend the Life of your Fleet’s Engines for Different Operating Conditions,” the event is part of the Castrol Solutions Talk Webinar, aimed at showing the marine sector how to maximize productivity and improve operations with less downtime, even during this time of pandemic.

AboitizPower ramps up We Got Your

Aboitiz Power Corp. is ramping up its vaccination program for employees, with more than 1,300 team members from Luzon and Visayas having received at least one dose as of Monday, August 9.

The program, dubbed “We Got Your Vacc,” is also aligned with the Aboitiz Group’s target of vaccinating more than 30,000 team members and subcontractors nationwide. AboitizPower alone targets to inoculate this year 5,000 team members who have signed up for the program.

Those recently vaccinated were mostly team members and subcontractors from the National Capital Region (NCR) where AboitizPower’s corporate office is located while the rest were from Toledo City in midwest Cebu, home to its 340-megawatt thermal power plant. After NCR and Cebu, AboitizPower is set to roll out vaccination drives in the rest of its sites across the country this month.

Isuzu Isabela sports new design

Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC), with B.M. Domingo Motor Sales, Inc. (BMD), celebrated the reopening of Isuzu Isabela last August 13, as Isuzu’s latest dealership adopting the Isuzu Outlet Standard (IOS).

The reinauguration was held to also commemorate BMD’s 44th anniversary as a franchised dealer of Isuzu trucks and vehicles and one of the brand’s most trusted partners in the Cagayan Region and Central Luzon in the provinces of Nueva Ecija, Bulacan and Tarlac.

Isuzu Isabela’s new IOS Showroom and Service Center has a total floor area of 2,854-sqm housing a mezzanine and a 2-floor parts warehouse. The workshop can accommodate up to 12 LCV units. A separate Truck Center, with a total floor area of 1,745-sqm, is at an extension of the main lot which has another showroom with 2 CVs and additional service bays for 4 LCVs and 4 CVs.

DHL Express continues to deliver Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccines

DHL Express continues its partnership with the Philippine Department of Health (DOH) and has successfully delivered more Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines to the country, including the first batch of the government’s procured supply from the manufacturer.

The vaccines were shipped in specially engineered thermal shipper packaging with dry ice to regulate the temperature, allowing them to be used in locations where the physical infrastructure to maintain the needed temperature was lacking. Each thermal shipper box also contains temperature trackers equipped with sophisticated GPS technology to provide full visibility throughout the shipment’s entire journey.

DHL said itwill continue partnering with various local government agencies to support vaccination efforts, such as the Resbakuna campaign of the Department of Health.

Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation Inc. (CLFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of Cebuana Lhuillier, recently held Bida Best: The 2021 ALS Teachers Digital Summit.

Teachers at the company’s network of Alternative Learning System-Community Learning Centers (ALS-CLSs) attended the event, along with key leaders from the Department of Education (DepEd).

The Digital Summit highlighted the importance of fostering learning continuity to help learners registered under the ALS program finish their education while also taking into consideration the well-being, health, and safety of the ALS Teachers and Implementers, whose dedication to their duties have made blended learning a success.

The summit also featured talks from well-being experts who shared tips and insights on mental, financial, and physical wellness to build inner resilience.

Market Reach International Resources said it will focus on growing the company after the decision of the Metropolitan trial court of San Pedro invalidating the search warrant served on its warehouse in Laguna last June.
