Cebuana Lhuillier Bank (CLB) was honored as one of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ Outstanding Stakeholders for 2025 during the central bank’s annual Stakeholders Appreciation Ceremony on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the BSP Assembly Hall in Manila.
The award recognizes CLB’s significant contributions to advancing BSP’s mission of financial inclusion, monetary stability, and inclusive economic growth.
“We are deeply honored by this recognition from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas,” said Jean Henri Lhuillier, President and CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier. “This milestone affirms our unwavering commitment to bring inclusive and accessible banking to every Filipino. What drives us is the vision of a financially empowered nation—where progress is not limited by geography, income, or circumstance. We will continue to lead with innovation, trust, and purpose.”
The Outstanding BSP Stakeholders Award honors institutions supporting BSP’s strategic priorities, including financial resilience, innovation, and good governance, underscoring crucial private-public partnerships in building a stable, inclusive financial system.
Jimmy Ang, Officer-in-Charge of CLB, received the award. “This recognition reflects the collective effort of our entire team at CLB,” said Ang. “We share this honor with our clients—especially those who have been historically underserved—whose trust and stories fuel our drive to serve better every day.”
Dr. Eli M. Remolona, Jr., Chairman of the Monetary Board and BSP Governor, delivered the keynote address.
This marks a banner year for the Cebuana Lhuillier Group. In March 2025, Cebuana Lhuillier received BSP’s NACC-SFISC Certificate of Appreciation for exceptional contributions to financial security, regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism financing, and Asia Pacific Joint Group activities.
These twin BSP recognitions reaffirm CLB’s growing impact in advancing financial inclusion, regulatory excellence, and nation-building.
