Baliuag University marked its 100th foundation anniversary with the vibrant BU Fiesta on February 11, uniting students, faculty, alumni and the local community in a day-long celebration of tradition and academic excellence.

Joining the blessing and unveiling of the Centennial Mango Tree marker are BU alumni priests, Baliwag City Mayor Ferdie Estrella with wife Johnna Estrella, City Administrator Eric Tagle, and members of the Alejo, Santiago, and Bustos families who are the third generation descendants of the founders Domingo B. Santiago, Sr. and Consuelo Alejo Santiago

The festivities began with a thanksgiving Mass, followed by the unveiling of a centennial mango tree marker. The historic marker, placed beneath an ancient mango tree, symbolizes the university’s growth and deep roots through the decades.

The celebration continued with the launch of the Centennial Song and an audio-visual presentation capturing BU’s journey. A theater presentation brought the university’s history to life through dramatized reenactments of key milestones. A meet-and-greet with the BU mascot, BeeBU, fostered unity among attendees.
