In anticipation of the season opener, ArenaPlus co-presented the much-anticipated PBA Fun Run 2023 on October 22 at the Bridgetown Destination Estate in Pasig City. The event was further enlivened by the dazzling performances of the brand’s official dance troupe, the “Astig Girls.” Renowned PBA stars like Simon Enciso, Jio Jalalon, Abu Tratter, Keith Datu, and Coach Jeffrey Cariaso added to the festive atmosphere by participating in the run and mingling with their adoring fans.
BingoPlus and ArenaPlus continued their extravaganza by joining the 2-day PBA Media Day held on October 24-25 at One Esplanade in Pasay City. The event, steeped in Filipino culture, brought together all twelve PBA teams, with the distinguished presence of the Philippine men’s basketball team, GILAS Pilipinas, reinforcing the spirit of unity and sportsmanship.
The grand culmination of these pre-season festivities transpired at the Araneta Coliseum on November 5, as the 12 PBA teams graced the opening parade, igniting the anticipation of fans across the nation. The venue reverberated with jubilant performances by young artist Chie Filomeno, the sensational boy group Alamat, and the brand’s own “Astig Girls” and “Bing Girls.” The audience was in stitches thanks to the comedic stylings of special guests, Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola.
To make the occasion even more extraordinary, ArenaPlus presented “The Leos Annual Awards,” honoring exceptional players from the previous season, including the beloved GILAS Pilipinas team. The season officially commenced with an exciting match between TNT and Magnolia.
