ArenaPlus, the 24/7 sports betting app, brought extra fun and entertainment to the highly anticipated Star Magic All Star Games 2024 on June 3 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Partnering with ABS-CBN Star Magic, ArenaPlus provided activities that brought fans closer to their favorite artists. As the lead presenter, ArenaPlus helped gather top stars for basketball and volleyball games, featuring notable figures from sports and entertainment.
The ABS-CBN Star Magic Volleyball Game saw the Lady Spikers, led by BINI’s Mikha Lim and Anjie Salvacion, along with PVL stars Fifi Sharma and Dani Ravena, compete against the Lady Setters, led by Vivoree and Loisa Andalio, with PVL stars Celine Domingo and Gel Cayuna. The Lady Spikers triumphed in three sets: 25-20, 22-25, and 25-18. Awra Briguela led the winning team with 23 points, including 22 attacks and a block, while Analain Salvador was named Most Valuable Player.
The Mythical Six for volleyball included Briguela, Reign Parani, Anji Salvacion, Janna Zambran, Mikha Lim, and Vivoree Escoto. Special awards went to best setter BINI Mikha, best receiver Analain Salvador, best spiker Awra Briguela, and best libero Leona Andalio.
In basketball, the Star Magic Shooting Stars Blue team, led by Donny Pangilinan and Ronnie Alonte, faced off against Cong’s Anbilibabol Basketball, led by Lincoln “Cong” Velasquez of Team Payaman. The Shooting Stars Blue won 88-76, with Alonte scoring 27 points, grabbing five rebounds, and making four assists to earn MVP honors. The mythical five included Star Magic’s Ronnie Alonte, Donnie Pangilinan, and River Joseph, alongside Team Payaman’s Chris Lagudas and Nelson Mendoza.
The event also featured a half-time performance by the rising girl group BINI, who energized the crowd with their hits “Karera” and “Pantropiko.”
