Apex Mining has formalized its partnership with the University of Makati through the Student Internship Program in the Philippines (SIPP) under UMak’s Center for Linkages and Placement. As a Host Training Establishment, Apex Mining will accommodate qualified UMak students for office training.
“This is a good opportunity for students who are set to join the workforce to gain practical knowledge, skills, and desirable attitudes, and gain hands-on experience in an actual office setting,” says Apex Mining President and CEO Luis R. Sarmiento, ASEAN Eng.
The signing ceremony featured UMak President Prof. Elyxzur C. Ramos, PhD, CESE, with Sarmiento witnessing the MOA execution.
Publicly listed under ticker APX, Apex Mining has expanded its social development programs beyond its operational areas in Maco, Davao de Oro and Itogon, Benguet to cover major islands nationwide. Sarmiento describes their outreach initiatives as “borderless.”
This partnership exemplifies SDG 17 (Partnership for the Goals).
