7,500 antigen kits donated to OVP, LGUs
Trulaboratories Corp. and Sterilab Co., distributors of SD Biosensor Standard Q Antigen Test Kits, recently donated 7,500 kits to the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and local government units (LGUs) to support the government’s initiative of mass testing. In addition to the OVP, the test kit donations were given to Manila, San Juan, Pasig, Pasay, Antipolo, Paranaque, Cavite, Bacoor and Las Pinas.

Singlife expands offerings
Singlife Philippines is eyeing to clinch deals with two new digital network partners this year as it targets to sign up 150,000 clients.
In a press briefing, Rien Hermans, chief executive officer of Singlife Philippines, said the company hopes to record P350 million in premium equivalent this year.
Hermans said the company will also launch several products this year. One is a direct -to-customer initiative called the Singlife Plan & Protect app which empowers customers to take charge of their finances.
Singlife Philippines will complete its full suite of protection products on GCash by launching Cash for Medical Costs, which provides coverage for high medical bills due to hospitalization and critical illnesses including COVID-19, cancer, and heart disease, among others, for around P500 per year. Also slated for release in the coming months is Cash for Later, which allows customers to kick off their investing journey.
Singlife Philippines in October 2020 partnered with GCash and soon offered Cash for Dengue Costs with free COVID-19 cover and Cash for Income Loss and Cash for Income Loss (Accidents).
Jollibee goes to London
Jollibee Foods Corp. said is set to open its flagship store in London’s West End, the United Kingdom’s main commercial and entertainment center in its capital on May 20.
Jollibee Group plans to open 450 restaurants across its brands this year with the long- term goal of being one of the world’s top five restaurant operators.
The opening comes as Jollibee continues its crossover to the mainstream British market, which comprises 75 percent of its customers in its latest stores.
Jollibee intends to have 50 stores across Europe, including its first restaurant in Spain, by 2025.
Junket operations LOI
PH Resorts Group Holdings Inc. (PHR), Udenna Group’s gaming and hospitality subsidiary, signed a letter of intent (LOI) with ASKI Japan Ltd. which will form the basis for ASKI to be a potential junket operator in PHR’s Emerald Bay integrated resort in Mactan, Cebu.
An affiliate of Global Mix Corp., ASKI Japan provides junket and VIP gaming services for Japanese players within Asia, which include junket operations in Paradise City, Paradise Casino Busan in Korea as well as in two integrated resorts in Entertainment City in the Philippines under the Friday Club brand.
Emerald Bay is currently under construction. Upon completion of the first phase, Emerald Bay will feature 122 gaming tables for mass, premium mass, and junkets; 600 electronic gaming machines, and 270 hotel room bays.

Hygienix brand of soap, alcohol, and hand sanitizer products are now available in the Middle East, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and China.
Manufactured by Splash Corp., a subsidiary of Wipro Consumer Care, Hygienix has received positive reception and increasing demand for germicidal products in these countries.
Wipro added Hygienic hand sanitizer gel, hand spray, body wash, hand wash, and wipes last September 2020 in Malaysia and China which are also now able to provide the anti-bacterial requirements of neighboring countries.
