Alsons San Ramon donation

The Alsons Power Group’s San Ramon Power, Inc. (SRPI) recently turned over 205 reams or more than 100,000 sheets of bond paper to eight public schools located in SRPI’s host barangays of Sinubong, Pamucutan, and Talisayan, Zamboanga City.

The SRPI donation will enable the schools to print more than 25,000 learning modules for the start of the new school year.

SRPI is developing a 105 mega-watt baseload power plant that is expected to begin operations in 2024 to provide power to Zamboanga City and nearby areas. Alsons Power is Mindanao’s first private sector power generator with a portfolio of four power facilities serving over eight million people in 14 cities and 11 provinces in the Philippines’ second largest island.

Haven’t Registered to Vote?

 With COMELEC registration centers now open in 67 SM Supermalls nationwide, here’s a quick guide:

– Download and fill out the CEF-1 application form via the Comelec website and the Coronavirus Self Declaration Form. Other forms may be downloaded and accomplished as necessary (i.e. PWD).

– Bring a valid ID which may be any of the following:Student ID, Passport, Employee’s ID, Senior Citizen ID, PWD Discount ID,Driver’s License, NBI Clearance, SSS/GSIS ID, Postal ID, PRC License

Additionally, you need to comply with the ongoing health and safety protocols being observed by the mall. Along with the Coronavirus Self Declaration Form, checking of body temperature, physical distancing as well as mandatory face mask and face shields will be enforced on site. COMELEC will also be limiting the number of registrants per day.

Gokongwei Group vaccination

JG Summit Holdings Inc. (JGSHI), along with affiliates Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. (RRHI) and Summit Media in the Gokongwei Group, continues with its efforts to empower its workforce against the threat of the SARS-CoV-2 virus through its COVID Protect vaccination program.

As of mid-August, 36,676 of the Gokongwei Group workforce have already been inoculated through COVID Protect and LGU vaccination programs.

The COVID Protect program includes employees and their dependents, as well as third-party workers among the beneficiaries of the total 190,000 doses procured for their free vaccination.

UnaBakuna

Resorts World Manila’s (RWM) RWM assures guests and patrons utmost safety as the company has reached herd immunity for all frontline and onsite personnel.

Accelerating community resilience

Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation Inc. (CLFI), in partnership with Ashoka Philippines, recently held a three-day exchange to connect barangay leaders with organizations and thought leaders in support of community-driven innovations and to put the spotlight on new and innovative approaches to accelerate barangay resilience in the country.

In partnership with the Office of the Civil Defense, Department of the Interior and Local Government, and National Youth Commission, the Barangay Resilience Exchange: Ugnayan Para sa Katatagan ng Komunidad (BRx) brought together over 1,500 registrants coming from local government units, government agencies, NGOs and the private sector

BRx provided a space for the country’s first responders and duty bearers during disasters, to draw inspiration from the human-centered solutions shared by the speakers and to have access to carry out multi-sector collaborations.

BRx also featured community-driven innovations on Infrastructure and Technology, Micro/Small Business Resilience  and Women & Youth, with participations from Base Bahay, GIZ, AXA, Limitless Lab, PEKKA, ARK and Community Pantry PH.

Instant cash-ins

Coins.ph is re-enabling cash-in transactions through any of 7-Eleven’s 3,000 plus branches in the Philippines.

This will provide a widely accessible and convenient option for customers who prefer an over-the-counter instant cash-in option that is within their vicinity.

With this collaboration, over 15 million Coins.ph customers can add funds to their wallet in real time via 7-Eleven in three ways. The first is via the Coins.ph Wallet app, wherein customers can generate a 7-Connect barcode that they will present to the cashier to scan and make a payment.

The customers can also use the CLiQQ kiosk in-store to generate a barcode to present to the cashier and make a payment.

CSMC People Awards

Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC) culminated its founding anniversary last August 31 with the celebration of People Awards, with the theme, “Pagbibigay Pugay sa mga Nagtataguyod ng Buhay”, this year’s celebration.

Since its acquisition by the MVP Group in 2008, CSMC has been under the supervision of the Colinas Verdes Hospital Managers Corporation. Under the new management, 89 individuals across all departments were awarded for their loyalty and dedication to the hospital: 66 employees who have served the institution for 5 and 10 years, and 23 doctors who have devoted their time and services to the hospital for 30 up to 45 years.

Colinas Verdes chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan promised continuous support from the MVP Group.

Medicine delivery

Sanofi has collaborated with Watsons, Southstar Drug, and Rose Pharmacy for the delivery of medicines to patients with diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, and other lifestyle diseases.

Patients may order either online or via phone, and have them delivered to their doors or pick up at their preferred branch. The collaborations started in May 2021, and are continuing to activate even more pharmacies in order to reach more patients.

Sanofi has provided their expertise on cold chain management and has standardized the handling of these medicines throughout different branches of the pharmacies located strategically in key cities all over the country. Anyone with a valid prescription can avail the e-pharmacy services especially for prescription medicines.
