AC Health flu vaccination

Ayala Corp. together with its healthcare arm, Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (AC Health), has donated 1,000 flu vaccine doses to the City of Taguig as part of #Brigadang Ayala.

The turnover ceremony was done last July 2021 during the groundbreaking event of the Healthway Cancer Care Center, AC Health’s specialty cancer hospital, located in Taguig City. The initiative is part of Ayala’s commitment to support both COVID and non-COVID healthcare initiatives.

The flu vaccination drive kicked off last September 7  in three participating Healthway branches: Healthway Family Clinic Palingon, Healthway Family Tuktukan and Healthway Multispecialty Clinic Market Market. This vaccination drive aims to administer flu vaccines for Taguig City’s priority beneficiaries, namely, immunocompromised patients and those at high risk or with comorbidities..

The flu vaccination drive in Taguig City is expected to continue until the end of September with the target of administering 1,000 doses.

LG Joins DepEd’s Brigada Eskwela 2021

To help usher in the return of face-to-face classes for school, LG joins the Department of Education’s yearly Brigada Eskwela initiative.

Brigada Eskwela, also known as National Schools Maintenance Week, is a yearly program where the school community, including members of the private sector, collaborate to prepare the start of the school year.

This return to school comes from almost a two-year absence due to the ongoing COVID pandemic. To help prepare the institution to open its doors to students again, LG donated hygiene kits to Rizal Experimental Station and Pilot School of Cottage Industries (RESPSCI).

Almost 4,000 hygiene kits were given away. Sungjae Kim, LG Philippines Managing Director presented the donations to Kenneth Cantillo, Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, Michael Almario, BE-Resource Mobilization Committee Chairman, and Angeline Labit, BE-Resource Mobilization Committee Asst. Metrobank best domestic bank in the Philippines

The Asiamoney Best Bank Awards 2021 has recognized Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co. (Metrobank) as the “Best Domestic Bank in the Philippines”.

Asiamoney Editor Rashmi Kumar pointed out Metrobank’s status as one of the country’s foremost universal banks, offering a diverse stable of business and products for a range of clients while showing strong growth year after year.

Metrobank pursued a prudent and proactive approach in managing its portfolio to protect asset quality, and sustain long term profitability and capital strength.

Despite an economic downturn, the Bank managed to grow its low cost current and savings accounts (CASA) grew 22% to PhP1.3 trillion, reflecting the Bank’s solid deposit franchise and customer confidence in the Bank.

The bank also generated a 26% increase in pre-provisioning profits to PhP61.8 billion in 2020, enabling it to set aside PhP40.8 billion in provisions. Metrobank’s proactive provisioning raised non-performing loan (NPL) cover to 163% from 103% in 2019, strengthening the Bank’s capacity to withstand asset quality pressures.

Metrobank’s net income grew 28% to PhP11.7 billion in the first half of 2021. Stable asset quality and superior capital ratios give the Bank a strong position to take on opportunities ahead.

Through the combined efforts of Metrobank Foundation and GT Foundation, Metrobank has supported the needy through various pandemic aid programs.

The Asiamoney Best Bank Awards 2021 is an annual ceremony that recognizes which banks in each market excel across a range of categories.

Hyundai vax mobility solutions

Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. (HARI)  Hyundai Vaccine on Wheels (VOW) program, a comprehensive portfolio of mobility solutions designed to support the safe and efficient transport of vaccines, as well as to fast track the nationwide administration of vaccines.

Under the Hyundai VOW program are the Hyundai MedTRX Series and the County transformed as a vaccination clinic.

CCBPI awarded Safety Seal

Last September 3, Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc. (CCBPI) was awarded a Safety Seal by the Bacolod LGU — with a turnover ceremony held recently at Coca-Cola’s Bacolod manufacturing site.

This certification affirms that the Bacolod Plant is compliant with minimum public health standards set by the government and uses or integrates its contact tracing with StaySafe.ph. Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia graced the turnover, commending Coca-Cola for doing its part in the fight against COVID-19; meanwhile, the CCBPI team was led by Plant Manager Reynaldo Queque.

CCBPI will continue prioritizing its People First approach — ensuring that safety and sanitation standards are complied with across the organization, for the welfare of its associates and communities nationwide.

PayDay Ayuda

LBC is introducing a new promo for its very popular Instant Pera Padala (IPP) money remittance service.

The promo, dubbed “PayDay Ayuda ng LBC” is their way of giving “Ayuda”, not only to patrons of its domestic money remittance service, but all money senders nationwide.

For four payday cycles starting on September 29 — November 16, domestic remittances made through the Money PayDay Ayuda ng LBC promo will be free of charge. The promo is applicable for all domestic remittances made on specifically scheduled payday or close to payday dates, either via LBC branches or IPP online on www.lbcexpress.com.

Beneficiaries of PayDay Ayuda ng LBC are also given the convenience to choose where they can get their remittances. Apart from LBC branches across the country, beneficiaries can also get their remittances from branches of LBC’s network partners:  Palawan, Cebuana Lhuillier, and M. Lhuillier.

Miss Universe Philippines to unveil NFT Collection

The Miss Universe Philippines 2021 is making its mark as the latest brand and the first beauty pageant in the world to ride the NFT wave. The global beauty pageant has teamed up with RedFOX Labs, a Southeast Asian blockchain venture builder, to launch the Miss Universe Philippines NFT Collection.

Available on September 24, on the NFT Platform, it provides an exciting opportunity for adoring fans to buy NFT collectibles of their favorite beauty queens. This isn’t the first time a famous brand has entered the NFT space.

Many luxury premium brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Burberry are turning to NFTs to promote their lines. The fashion industry has been looking for ways to capitalize on the buzz surrounding NFTs. Louis Vuitton and several other fashion brands have launched their own NFTs.

Gucci released its first official NFT in a short fashion film inspired by Aria’s collection to celebrate Gucci’s 100th anniversary and the upcoming collaboration with Balenciaga.

Burberry also collaborated with Mythical Games on an in-game clothing NFT collection featuring a limited-edition Blanko toy called “Sharky B.”

Louis Vuitton initiated a mobile game where players can collect 30 free NFTs as they follow the brand’s mascot Vivienne to Paris for a birthday celebration.
