Buy real,  buy smart

Epson has warned against using counterfeit inks on its printers, saying this might damage the printhead and main board of the  printer due to incompatibility.

Epson said one is actually not saving money by choosing the cheaper option, as this only leads to higher maintenance costs in the long run.

Epson also said using fake ink will void the printer’s warranty which  will lead to more unnecessary costs.

Customers are encouraged to look for these marks to make sure they are buying the real deal: hologram stickers and color-shifting labels in the packaging.
