Senatorial candidate and Makati Mayor Abby Binay continued her CALABARZON campaign trail today with stops in Lipa City and Tanauan City, Batangas, where she engaged with local officials, employees, and residents.
In Lipa City, Binay met with Mayor Eric Africa at the city hall, receiving a warm welcome from employees during her tour of the premises. She then proceeded to Tanauan City Hall, where she was greeted by Mayor Nelson “Sonny” Collantes and Congresswoman Ma. Theresa “Maitet” Collantes. Coinciding with “People’s Day,” Binay connected with residents, including senior citizens, and emphasized her commitment to replicating Makati’s initiatives nationwide. “I want to ease the financial burden of our seniors by providing free maintenance medicines to help them live longer,” she said.
The visit follows Binay’s campaign stops in Quezon Province on Wednesday, where she toured Tayabas City, Lucena City, Tiaong, and Candelaria. She was welcomed by officials such as Congressman Mark Enverga and Lucena Mayor Mark Don Alcala. In each locality, Binay shared her legislative aspirations for inclusive progress and sustainable development. “I will bring my experience as a mayor to the Senate to ensure policies are crafted with local government perspectives in mind,” Binay stated.
Binay also invited CALABARZON residents to the Alyansa Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas Proclamation Rally on March 21 at Trece Martires City’s Capitol Grounds in Cavite. The event starts at 4 p.m.
Running under the Alyansa Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas banner, Binay aims to leverage her experience as Makati mayor to advocate for better benefits for barangay officials and disaster response workers nationwide.
