Senatorial candidate and Makati Mayor Binay commits to be a powerful advocate for ordinary Filipinos in the Senate, leveraging her extensive experience in local governance.
“I will be your voice in the Senate,” Binay declared at Thursday’s Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas press conference. “I know your problems. I can totally relate to your daily problems and I know your concerns and your issues.”
Binay highlighted President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s strategic selection process for the alliance. “If you notice in the speech of the President, he consistently says – ‘some of us are lawyers, some of us are congressmen, some of us have experience in government.’ We are chosen based on our track record, based on our qualities, our capabilities, or what kind of service we can give to the government.”
Her Senate platform focuses on three priorities: free maintenance medicines for senior citizens, improved early childhood education with enhanced daycare teacher training, and tax-free bonuses and overtime pay for workers.
