PALMER-ASIA Inc., a prominent player in Asia’s fire, safety, and security industry, is unveiling ambitious expansion plans as it commemorates its 30th anniversary. The company intends to broaden its footprint by constructing a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and exporting their locally manufactured products, such as fire extinguishers and fire trucks.
Angel “Andy” Palmiery, the president and chief executive officer of Palmer-Asia Inc., announced that the construction of their primary manufacturing plant in Laguna is slated to commence next year. This facility will empower Palmer-Asia to increase the production of fire trucks while reducing manufacturing costs, enabling them to export these vehicles to neighboring nations.
Palmiery emphasized, “Our current production facility in Paranaque is unable to meet the rising demands of our clientele. This move brings us one step closer to realizing our vision of establishing a presence across Asia and exploring opportunities for additional plants worldwide.”
Palmer-Asia operates through four distinct divisions of expertise: fire trucks and emergency vehicles, fire suppression and security systems, fire extinguishers and personal protective equipment, and marine safety solutions.
The journey of Palmer-Asia Inc. began in 1993 when Palmiery, after witnessing a devastating fire that consumed the furniture company he was employed at, decided to venture into the world of fire safety. Reflecting on his journey, he shared, “I stumbled into the fire safety industry when a friend suggested I try selling fire extinguishers due to my prior sales experience.”
Initially, the company imported fire extinguishers, but over time, they acquired the technology and expertise needed to manufacture their own. In parallel, they expanded their product line to encompass various firefighting equipment, including fire suits, helmets, gloves, boots, self-contained breathing apparatus, and fire hoses.
“We’ve encountered numerous challenges while establishing our diverse ventures, but through prayer, unwavering dedication, and assembling the right team, we’ve evolved into what we are today,” said Palmiery.
He also emphasized that all their processes adhere to stringent quality standards, including ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications, in addition to compliance with various regulatory bodies.
