The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), the local government of Pulilan, Bulacan, and AVECS Corporation have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the construction of Mom’s Ville Phase I, a housing project under President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.
SHFC president and CEO Federico Laxa, Pulilan Mayor Maria Rosario Ochoa-Montejo, and AVECS Corporation president Celestino Baldonado signed the MOU on October 16 at the SHFC head office in Makati, marking the beginning of the construction of eight five-story condominium buildings, each with 135 housing units.
Located in Brgy. Peñabatan, the housing project will benefit over 1,000 families identified by the local government unit. The beneficiaries include workers from both the informal and formal sectors, such as public school teachers and government employees.
President Laxa highlighted the partnership as a significant milestone in SHFC’s ongoing efforts to provide affordable and decent housing to Filipino families. He also expressed confidence in the project’s successful delivery, emphasizing the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development support led by Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar.
Mayor Ochoa-Montejo expressed her gratitude, noting that her long-held dream was coming to fruition through the collaboration with SHFC.
Baldonado, on the other hand, shared his pride in being part of a project that will uplift the lives of Bulaceños, particularly in Pulilan, and pledged to ensure the project’s timely and successful completion.
SHFC is currently implementing 12 4PH projects in various locations, including Crystal Peak Estates in San Fernando City, Pampanga; People’s Ville in Calinan District, Davao City; and Valley View Township in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental. These form part of the 111 shovel-ready
initiatives, aimed at providing more than 505,000 units by 2028.
