Senator Win Gatchalian, chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, on Tuesday raised six red flags in the Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) proposed 2026 budget.
“These are projects with no station numbers, duplicate items, contracts divided into ‘packages,’ projects with rounded-off amounts, items with specific code names, and projects that reappear in the 2026 budget,” Gatchalian told a hearing by the Senate Finance Committee.
