MALACANANG yesterday expressed hope the latest batch of Philippine Quality Award (PQA) awardees will not only continue the creation of a future-ready Filipino workforce, but will also influence and inspire others to do excellent work and service that will benefit the country and the future generation.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin Jr. yesterday bestowed the recognition on the 2022 PQA to 12 public and private organizations which have “demonstrated management excellence by the purposefulness with which it continues to improve and build upon outstanding results and excellent systems thereby achieving the highest level of performance excellence.”
“By demonstrating your mastery, your proficiency, your commitment to quality and performance excellence, you have set the standard for other organizations to follow, making you all a welcome source of hope and inspiration for the future of our entire country,” Bersamin said.
He said the quality of work and service shown by the PQA awardees also makes him more optimistic that the country is a step closer to achieving its goal of becoming a “global benchmark” for quality and excellent performance, especially amid the Marcos administration’s commitment to accelerate job creation in the country.
The PQA, established through Executive Order (EO) No. 448, issued by former President Fidel V. Ramos on 3 October 1997, is an integrated approach for performance management that sets the standard of excellence to help organizations in the Philippines achieve world-class performance.
