More LGUs now using Scan & GO

MYEG Philippines (MYEG PH), a market leader in electronic solutions championing government services online automation, has been providing eGovernment services in both Malaysia and the Philippines for the last 18 years through its technology platform encompassing internet, automation, big data and electronic payments.

MYQR, its latest development, is a simple, seamless, and free contact tracing solution mobile application designed to monitor and track individuals entering establishment and business premises.

The app assists establishment owners to monitor each individual by scanning their visitors’ QR code on their mobile phone prior allowing entry to their businesses.

The Scan & GO! feature of the MYQR will have minimal impact to their operations allowing faster recording and entry to the premises of their customers. What makes MYQR different from the other contact tracing aps is that it doesn’t need Bluetooth nor GPS to function. A user doesn’t also need to have a smartphone as they can print the QR code in a piece of paper, making it user-friendly even for the elderly.

Local government units are now starting to use digital means to do contact tracing. The latest to sign up are Hernani in Eastern Samar and Rodriguez in Rizal.

SB Capital recognized at The Asset and FinanceAsia Awards

Security Bank’s Corp.’s (SBC) investment arm, SB Capital Investment Corp. (SB Capital), was recently recognized by The Asset and FinanceAsia Awards for its participation as lead arranger, bookrunner, and underwriter in key initial public offering (IPO) and finance deals in the Philippines and Southeast Asia this 2020.

The Asset Awards recognized SB Capital alongside three other banks as mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners for HC Consumer Finance’s 8-billion-peso senior secured term loan facility. The term loan facility won as the 2020 Best Structured Finance Deal in the Philippines.

With its partnership with HC Consumer Finance Philippines Inc, a part of Home Credit Group, SB Capital reaches more Filipinos by providing affordable products to underserved borrowers and rearing efficient projects for the consumers.

“The recognition given by The Asset and FinanceAsia is a testament to the continued trust of Filipinos towards SB Capital. FinanceAsia Awards also acknowledged SB Capital as a top-performing lead underwriter together with two other investment banks for the country’s first REIT offering, AREIT, a P12.3 billion IPO by Ayala Land. The IPO won this year’s Best Finance Deal in Southeast Asia in FinanceAsia and the Best IPO in the Philippines in the Asset.

SB Capital has been extending high-quality strategic advice and innovative financial solutions to investors through its participation in initial public offerings (IPO). Buy Now, Pay Later integrates with ecommerce platforms

Digital installment payment platform BillEase  announced its partnership with the  e-commerce platforms Shopify, Magento, Prestashop, and WooCommerce to bring “Buy Now, Pay Later” to online retailers in the Philippines. Merchants that use any of these platforms can now easily integrate with BillEase and activate Pay Later, Pay in Installments and Pay with Down Payment, which will provide customers with flexibility in payments and smoother shopping experience.

“With this integration, we’re bringing our financial product closer to consumers by making it easier for merchants to add our point-of-sale financing option,” said Georg Steiger, chief executive officer and co-founder of FDFC, the fintech company behind the BNPL platform.

Unlike traditional payment methods like credit cards, BillEase is a digital native platform. Instead of a physical card, customers have an app or account that works on a dedicated checkout.

The advantage is that consumers have full control over their spending and can configure their payment schedule the way they like it as BillEase shows customers upfront exactly what they will have to pay each month with no hidden fees and no surprises.

For merchants, there is no risk in offering BillEase as a payment method to their customers because BillEase pays merchants in full and absorbs all credit and fraud risks.

BillEase only charges merchants 1.5 to 2.5 percent per transaction with no integration fee, no annual fees, and no costly chargebacks.

The BNPL service is currently available on over 60 merchants including Lazada, Zilingo Trade, Flowerstore, Drive Groceries, Become, Kimstore, ConcepStore, Stork.ph, Henry’s Camera, Datablitz, among others.
