Local renewable energy developer Alternergy Holdings Corp. has secured approval from the Provincial Development Council (PDC) of Quezon province for its Alabat wind power project.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange yesterday, Alternergy said the Quezon PDC described the wind project as “beneficial to the socio-economic development of the province and its constituent.”

The endorsement from the PDC is one of the remaining pre-construction clearances needed for the project and a notice to proceed with the construction is expected to be issued by the second half of next year, the company added.
