Wilcon Depot Inc. said first half profit hit P1.25 billion, up 254 percent from last year’s P895 million.
Sales hit P13.43 billion, up 48.5 percent from P9.04 billion.
“Comparable sales grew by 36.4 percent, attributed mainly to the increase in the number of transactions particularly in branches located in Luzon, which unlike in 2020, remained open this year under the NCR plus bubble quarantine scheme,” the company said.
Wilcon is on track in its expansion plans, with the company set to open its Sorsogon store this week – its fifth opening this year.
