Marking its 44 years in the country this year, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) Corp. has sold more than 2 million units and has rolled out over 958,000 completely knocked down units since it started operations in 1988.
As of 2020, TMP’s cumulative investments reached P67 billion while total export sales hit $16.3 billion.
Cumulative duties and taxes paid amounted to P426 billion as of 2021.
In 2021, TMP reached its record market share in sales of 46.3 percent, also the highest for the brand in Asean.
Last year marked the 20th consecutive year TMP achieved Triple Crown: number one in passenger car sales, commercial vehicle sales, and overall sales.
TMP is one of the key manufacturers and distributors of Toyota in the Asia Pacific region.
TMP’s manufacturing and assembly plant in Sta. Rosa City in Laguna is the largest in the country, producing the Vios and Innova models.
