Newly accredited transport network company (TNC) inDrive is enhancing its app to comply with the government fare system while temporarily suspended.
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) issued a 15-day suspension order against inDrive effective on Jan. 23, 2024, due to a complaint on the hagging of fares.
In a response, inDrive said it will comply with the government’s fare standard.
“We at inDrive acknowledge the recent concerns raised by the LTFRB regarding our fare system. We affirm our company’s commitment to provide better alternatives in transportation while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, and we are actively collaborating with the authorities towards this end,” the company said.
“As part of these ongoing improvements, we will temporarily pause our service operations. This is a necessary step to ensure that our enhancements are implemented effectively and align with our users’ needs and regulatory standards.” inDrive added.
During its recent engagement with the LTFRB, the company had a productive discussion.
