THE Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) has fully awarded the reissued seven-year treasury bonds during yesterday’s auction.
With a remaining term of four years and nine months, the reissued securities fetched an average rate of 6.107 percent.
This is lower than the prevailing secondary market rate of 6.115 percent.
The auction was 2.4 times oversubscribed with total tenders reaching P73.1 billion.
With its decision, the BTr raised the full program of P30 billion.
This brings the total outstanding volume for the series to P189.7 billion.
Last Monday, the BTr fully awarded bids for the auctioned treasury bills amid healthy demand for the government IOUs.
The auction was 2.4 times oversubscribed, attracting P47.3 billion in total tenders.
The BTr raised the full program of P20 billion for the auction.
