THE Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) has fully awarded the reissued 10-year treasury bonds during yesterday’s auction as it saw strong demand from investors.
The auction attracted P43.3 billion in total tenders, 2.9 times the P15 billion offer. With its decision, the BTr raised the full program of P15 billion.
This brings the total outstanding volume for the series to P251.85 billion.
With a remaining term of nine years and two months, the reissued bond series fetched an average rate of 5.87 percent.
This is lower than the original coupon rate of 6.25 percent set on its first issuance in January 2024 and the 5.967 percent from its last issuance in September 2024.
Last Monday, the BTr also fully awarded bids for the offered treasury bills.
The auction was 2.8 times oversubscribed, attracting P56 billion in total tenders.
The BTr raised the full program of P20 billion for the auction.
