Sun Life of Canada (Philippines) Inc. ranked first among life insurance companies in terms of premium income and net income in 2020, the Insurance Commission (IC) said.
The IC said in a statement yesterday this is based on unaudited quarterly reports on selected financial statistics submitted by life insurers.
According to the report, Sun Life’s premium income totaled to P39.27 billion.
Philippine Axa Life Insurance Corp. ranked second with a total premium income of P31.27 billion, while placing third is Pru Life Insurance Corp. of UK with P30.98 billion.
Meanwhile Sun Life’s net income amounted to P8.47 billion, again topping the list in that segment.
Taking the second spot is the Philippine American Life and General Insurance Co., with P4.52 billion, followed by the Manufacturers Life Insurance Company (Phils.) Inc. with P4.05 billion.
