Solar Philippines has submitted offers to substantially contract its 10,000 (MW) solar farm developments.

In a statement, the company said its offers are pending approval of off-takers and regulators.

The company will have as much as 9 million megawatt hours (MWh) per year of contracted energy once the offers are accepted.

Solar Philippines said it would also serve the bulk of demand for projects that are scheduled to start operations mostly between 2025 and 2026.

Aside from the planned 500 megawatts (MW) solar farm in Nueva Ecija of Solar Philippines Nueva Ecija Corp. (SPNEC), the company has developments held by firms with shares subject to the asset-for-share swap between SPNEC and Solar Philippines.

“While we have been constrained from commenting on our projects due to ongoing contracting processes, we look forward to share more details in the coming days and so give a better picture of what SPNEC will look like after the asset-for-share swap,” said Leandro Leviste, Solar Philippines founder.

Leviste added the largest project in Solar Philippines’ current pipeline are with Terra Solar Philippines Inc., the joint venture with Prime Infra that plans to construct 3,500 MW of solar and 4,500 MWh of battery storage to supply the Manila Electric Co. with 850 MW of supply from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Other projects being developed by Solar Philippines include Solar Philippines Batangas Baseload Corp.’s up to 2,000 MW solar project with battery storage; another 63 MW through Solar Philippines Calatagan Corp. with Korea Electric Power Corp.; and a 100 MW project with expansions under Solar Philippines Tarlac Corp. and Solar Philippines Tanauan Corp., also joint ventures with Prime Infra covered by Meralco power supply agreements.

Other projects are with Solar Philippines Central Luzon Corp., a joint venture with AC Energy; Solar Philippines South Luzon Corp.; and Solar Philippines Visayas Corp. Capacities of these projects are yet to be decided. – Jed Macapagal
