AboitizPower Corp. is set to build a 74 megawatts (MW) solar power facility in Bugallon, Pangasinan this year.
The company said the project has received board approval and is now in the development stage. The project will start construction within the second half of the year and commercial operations is set in the fourth quarter next year.
Bulk of the solar facility’s capacity will be contracted for retail electricity supply.
The project is the company’s second solar power venture after its 59-MW facility in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental which was inaugurated in 2016.
PH Resorts Group Holdings Inc. is moving the opening schedule of its casino operation in Cebu – Emerald Bay Resort & Casino.
The Udenna Group’s gaming and hospitality subsidiary told shareholders the gaming complex will soft open by March 2022 and completion of its first phase is set by the third quarter of next year.
The company originally planned to open the complex this year.
“The re-imposition of stricter quarantine measures in March earlier this year created more difficulties in the construction of Emerald Bay in terms of labor mobilization and materials delivery just as we were generating momentum,” said Jose Angel Sueiro, PH Resorts chief operating officer.
